Kill the Hero (GMTK 2023)
- ABOUT THE GAME JAM -
This game was made in 48h for the gam jam GMTK 2023, the theme was"ROLES REVERSED" .
- WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO -
This part is simple, as the game name says, you should Kill the Hero.
- GAME CONTROLS -
WASD - to move your character
Left mouse button - to pickup weapons and attack
Right mouse button - to drop your weapon
- TIPS TO BEAT THE GAME IF YOU ARE STUCK -
- You can use Pressure Plates to open doors
- You can hit Targets to open doors
- You can hit other monsters and take their weapon.

Cool concept. Fun puzzle adventure.
Minor bug: It seems you can kill enemies through the walls on the last stage.

loved the puzzle elements! the roles-reversed mechanic is a bit of a stretch as it seems like you can just swap the sprites
that's true, we wanted to implement different monsters, with different habilities, but unfortunately I didn't have time for that.
and also there is the Idea behind controlling the hero and the monster.
- when you are controlling the monster you are finding ways to kill the hero.
- when you are controlling the Hero, you are finding ways to die
usually, this is the opposite
I see, well it was still very well done, sorry if it sounded like I was nitpicking :D
great visuals, everything moves, it feels very polished and lively. great stuff
